"You cannot separate a man from his word. If the man is all-knowing, his word is all-knowing; if the man is omnipresent, his word is omnipresent," he stressed.

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has said that focusing on the supremacy and faithfulness of God is of paramount importance in the Christian ministry.

This, according to him, will not only lead to a firm belief in God and His word but will make a response to His instructions facile and simple.

Apostle Nyamekye, who was speaking at the Special Evening Service, which was telecast live, on PENT TV on Sunday, May 31, 2020, on 'Victorious Christian Living', entreated Christians to be like Abraham in their walk with God, whose firm belief and intent focus on God's integrity influenced his total obedience to God's word.

"Abraham believed in God, who is alive and responsible. Not the sun or moon god but the Great King among all gods; the Maker of heavens and earth. The Scripture says Abraham was fully persuaded that God had the power to do what He had promised so it didn't make his response to God's word difficult," he said, stressing that, "Abraham never concentrated on the reasonableness of God's word to him but on the integrity and the greatness of the One who speaks. We must, therefore, not ascertain the rationality of God's word but focus on His greatness and faithfulness."

Underscoring the need for Christians to focus on the greatness and the integrity of God, the Chairman explained from Isaiah 55:8-12 that God's thoughts and ways are different and superior to that of man, saying, "When you believe in God and know that He is able and faithful, it doesn't matter how His Word comes to you, you will promptly respond to it."

He further noted that God speaks on purpose, stressing that, "No word will leave His mouth without accomplishing and blessing the earth." He, thus, urged Christians to trust and obey God's word regardless of how it sounds, saying, "When you trust His word and obey because you know who He is, mountains will fall flat before you."

Quoting several scriptures, such as Hebrews 12:22-25; John 1:1; 2 Corinthians 1:18-19, among others, Apostle Eric Nyamekye explained that refusing God's word is tantamount to refusing God Himself because God and His word are inseparable. "If you accept the Word, you accept God. The Word may not be reasonable to you but Abraham believed God and he accepted the Word. God and His word are one. You may not believe the Word but believe the Man and it will be easy for you to accept the Word because a man's word represents the person," he said.

He added that, "You cannot separate a man from his word. If the man is all-knowing, his word is all-knowing; if the man is omnipresent, his word is omnipresent; if he is omnipotent, his word is omnipotent. In Him, there is no shadow of turning. God is faithful, His word is faithful."

Chairman Nyamekye also remarked that the Word of God is spirit, active, alive and it also gives life (Hebrews 4:12-13; Ezekiel 1:28, 2:1-2; Deuteronomy 32:47), saying, "If the Word is spirit then it has power over mortals and can turn things around." He added that the Word has eyes that can see and nothing is concealed from the Word. He, therefore, charged Christians to wholeheartedly follow the Word.
