Ghanaian rapper, Eno Barony, has called out for Ghanaians to stop using gender when it comes to music.

The "Arguments Done" hitmaker believes that "What men can do, a woman can do better" therefore the boxes created to trap women into special groups must be broken.

According to her, since Male and female all "use the same microphones" to sing, the wrong use of gender tagging should be abolished. She pointed out that her male counterparts are referred to as "musicians" while she and her colleagues are referred to as "female musicians".

The artiste explained that people use the term "Female musicians" to belittle the efforts that females put into music to show that the industry is a male-dominated one. She lamented that a person's success should be judged solely on talent and not gender.

“They are putting us in a box because if you want to talk about artistes since we all using the same microphones and stages, you should call us artistes … then why don’t you be like male artiste and female artiste? ” she asked in a sit-down interview with Arnold on his Vibes in 5 show.

The rapper was aggrieved by the fact that the notion of women being the "weaker" gender has crept into music and has made fans treat their music less than their male counterparts.

“Women are special, yes we are but I have this mentality that what a man can, a woman can also do. So that thing like women are the weakest so let’s do this for them, I don’t buy into that,” she angrily concluded.
