Kumasi Asante Kotoko will join will the pool of clubs in the playoffs rounds in the CAF Confederations Cup after they were eliminated on Sunday from the CAF Champions League

 

 

Kotoko bowed out of the competiotion after a 3 - 0 defeat to Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia on Sunday in Monastir.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated Etoile Du Sahel at the Baba Yara Stadium by 2-0 on Sunday, September 15th. Augustine Okrah gave the Porcupine Warriors an early lead before Emmanuel Agyemang scored the second.

The Porcupine Warriors trailed Etoile Du Sahel by 2-0 as at the first half.

They took the lead in the first half through Ben Ahmed's converted penalty awarded by referee Ibrahim Nour El-Din.  

A red card was shown to Ben Aziza for a foul on Arthur twelve minutes to full time yet Kotoko could not take advantage of the ten-man Etoile.

The Porcupine Warriors poor performance gave Etoile the ability to double their lead through a header by Karim Aribi at the far post after a cross was made from the right wing which tied on the aggregate.

With five minutes to end the game, Karim Aribi scored his second and Etoile's third with another powerful header near the post.
