Brendan Rodgers has extended his contract with Leicester City to 2025.

The club officially made the announcement on Friday afternoon after an impressive run with the Foxes winning 17 out of 26 matches in the Premier League. Rdgers current deal with Leicester was due to expire in 2022 but further talks with management proved that the former Liverpool man is worthy to be given a new deal.

“Appointed City’s First Team Manager in February, Brendan has enjoyed a hugely promising start to his Leicester career. City have won 17 of 26 Premier League matches since Brendan’s appointment and currently sit second in the table after equalling a 56-year-old Club record of seven consecutive top-flight victories,” the statement confirmed.

“When I made the decision to come to Leicester City, it was because I was excited about the direction the Club was taking and how I could apply my experience to the journey. I came here with a purpose to add something to that and to help the Club build for the future,” Brendan said.

“The support I have had from the Chairman, Khun Top; from the Chief Executive, Susan Whelan; from the Director of Football, Jon Rudkin; and from everyone at the Club has been amazing. I’ve inherited an outstanding team of staff that are dedicated to progress and improvement and we have a group of players that are a joy to work with every day.
