Black Meteors Book Place For The U-23 AFCON in Egypt

The Ghana U-23 team, Black Meteors on Tuesday, 10th September 2019 beat Algeria to qualify for the U-23 AFCON which will be hosted in Egypt.

After drawing with the Algerians in the first leg at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra, the Black Meteors conquered the Algerians in their own yard kind courtesy, Yaw Yeboah superb solo goal.

The Algerians produced a threatening performance in the first half of the game hoping to secure a win over the Ghanaians but after the break, the Meteors gained possession of the game which resulted in their goal.

Goalkeeper of the Meteors Kwame Baah of Kumasi Asante Kotoko was magnificent to watch after making some brilliant saves to deny the dangerous Algerians from scoring.

The Ghanaians progressed and book a place.

This years CAF U-23 African Cup of Nations will be staged between 5th to 22nd November 2019 in Egypt.
