Nigerian artiste, Adekunle Gold has claimed that Ghanaian highlife singer, Bisa Kdei is the best.

He stated that Bisa Kdei is so good, that he should be regarded as a National treasure and should therefore be protected at all costs.

Adekunle Gold, who shot into prominence and gained global recognition releasing “Shade”, a highlife cover of One Direction's 'Story of My Life' in 2015, said this while speaking exclusively to Miriam Osei Agyemang, host of 3FM’s Urban Blend.

The "Friend Zone" hitmaker has since become one of the Afrobeats giants of Africa. He lauded Bisa Kdei as an outstanding and versatile artist who is underrated in Ghana.

“My number one guy will always be Bisa Kdei, You guys need to protect Bisa Kdei, he is a national treasure. I think he is the best; I have worked with him on two songs and it was really a great feeling to work with him,” he said.

Adekunle Gold has in the past collaborated with Bisa Kdei on his track “Adiza” and he is currently promoting AG Baby, a single which he released from his highly anticipated Afro Pop Vol 1 album on the 21st of August 2020.

He married Nigerian singer, Simi, in a close-knit ceremony in January 2019. They welcomed a daughter (Adejare) in May 2020.

Following his departure from YBNL Nation due to the expiry of his contract, Adekunle Gold unveiled his band "The 79th Element" in reference to the atomic number of gold.
