The beef that caused the one-year standoff between the two artistes started after Kelvynboy ignored Wendy Shay during a peace conference between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale. The then Burniton Music Group signee claimed that the act was not intentional at the time, but the damage had been done as Wendy Shay and her manager, Bullet, did not take the matter lightly.

Bullet automatically assumed that Kelvynboy snubbed Wendy Shay because she won the “Best New Artist of the Year" and not him. Kelvynboy in his defense stated that it was not so and that Bullet should have at least called him to talk to him before jumping to the conclusion.

Kelvynboy admitted that he tried to reach out and explain exactly what happened to the duo multiple times after the incident but all his pleas had fallen on deaf ears. He revealed that they even refused to pick up his phone calls.

When asked if he would ever try to apologize again a year ago he said:

“Never, because when I wanted to they didn’t give me a chance. I cannot compete with somebody that somebody writes for. The person sef ein vibe die. If something happens, you are the older one, you should have called us together to ask what went wrong. You don’t go around speculating that I did that because of an award,”

Now, it seems that all is now well and good between the two artists as they are set to drop a new banger for the fans.
