Bayern Munich are preparing to test Liverpool with a £75m offer for in form Roberto Firmino according to the Sun.

Firmino has been versatile for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds since arriving from Germany in 2015. He has scored 78 goals in 228 appearances for Liverpool and helped Liverpool to win the UEFA Champions League last year, secured the Super Cup and conquered the World by winning the FIFA Club World Cup in December.

Bayern are set to revamp their squad in the summer and The Sun says they have identified Firmino as their top transfer target.

He has been described as the mechanism that engineers Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah’s success with his competences and flairs for setup.

It is claimed manager Hans Flick sees Firmino as the ideal player to lead the attack with Robert Lewandowski and Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, who they will also attempt to sign.

The Reds are currently 22 points clear of second place Manchester City and a deal is not likely to be made with Jurgen Klopp valuing the Brazilian as one of the most important players in his dressing room.
