Gareth Bale has been left out of the Real Madrid squad for the Champions League clash against Manchester City on Friday.

The Welshman's relationship with Zinedine Zidane has been rocky throughout the season but the Frenchman's latest decision appears to signify that it is irreparable.

Bale wasn't called up for the last league game of the season against Leganes and has not played since June 24 against Mallorca, which may have been his last game for Real Madrid.

Since that appearance at Son Moix, in which he started and played 71 minutes, Bale has been on the bench six times but hasn't played a single minute.

Zidane has named 24 players for the trip, including captain Sergio Ramos despite being suspended.
