Atletico Madrid have informed Arsenal that failure to meet Thomas Partey’s asking price of €50m (£45.5m) means there is no business to be done.

The Gunners have had two offers rejected by Rojiblancos according to The Guardian - a bid of €25m for the Ghanaian International refused before out of favor midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi was included in the second yet none seem enticing to the Laliga club.

Partey has three years to serve on his current contract following his extension on March 1, 2018, in a deal that runs out in 2023.

Arteta is looking to improve his squad to challenge for honors ahead of next season and midfield is one key area he wants to focus, moreover, the signing of a few key players would convince star players like Aubameyang to remain at the Emirates and further convince few additions.

Atletico are not under pressure to sell Partey as Diego Simeone looks to keep the 27-year old who has been inspiring since the departure of Rodri to Manchester City last season.
