Arsenal would provide Mikel Arteta the funds to reinforce the squad this summer but several players would be on the transfer list to support the funding.

The former player and assistant manager of Manchester City won his first trophy for the Gunners after coming from behind to beat Chelsea by 2-1 in the FA Cup finals on Saturday at Wembley.

The victory has given Arsenal an Europa league clearance and the manager believes there is a need to reinforce the squad ahead of Europe and to provide a tougher challenge in the Premier League next month.

The Daily Mail on Monday reported that Alexandre Lacazette and Hector Bellerin are on the transfer list to help raise funds for Mikel Arteta's rebuild.

Aubameyang’s new contract to secure his future at Emirates is one key challenge for the Gunners following lots of clubs' pursuit for the Gabonese.

His numbers for the Gunners has been surging having scored 30 goals in 45 appearances in all competition this season.

 

 

He was behind Arsenals’ 2-1 victory over Chelsea to win their 14 FA Cup trophy on Saturday.

"If Arsenal can hold on to him, it would completely change the way they go forward but he's not the only player that they need. 

"They definitely need to strengthen and just because they won the FA Cup, they still need to bring in players as there are those there who just aren't good enough for the club. 

"Mikel Arteta seems like the right man for the job and the players seem happy so onward and upwards for Arsenal."
