Former Real Madrid forward, Nicolas Anelka has predicted that Madrid is capable of a comeback against Manchester City in the Champions League clash on Saturday at the Etihad.

According to the Frenchman, Zidane’s influence on the Madrid team is key in turning the tables around although it would not be an easier fixture, especially with Pep Guardiola steering the former Premier League champions.

“With Zidane yes, everything is possible,” Anelka said.

“City are on good form. It will be tough, but Madrid are Madrid and in the Champions League, they are very strong.

“I don't know what will happen, but Zidane is capable of coming back and Guardiola is very good too, so it will be a great game. City, importantly, start with an advantage,” he added.

Paris Saint Germain are already through to the quarterfinals by 3-2 on aggregate. The French team defeated Borussia Dortmund by 2-0 at the Parc De Princess with goals coming from Neymar and Juan Bernat Velasco.

Anelka believes that PSG are also close to clinching the Champions League title with the superstars they hold. He uttered that Neymar and Mbappe have the ability to cause damage to teams therefore if they are at their best, PSG can go a long way to secure the prize.

The Ligue 1 champions have been drawn against Atalanta in the quarter-finals.

“It could be because they have Neymar, who has not been available in previous years and is a super important player for PSG. It is he who makes the difference with Mbappe. He plays behind Kylian and they can both do a lot of damage.

“When he is not there it is difficult, but if Neymar is there it is another matter because he has experience, he has played for Barcelona and he knows what must be done."
