Donny van de Beek is set to undergo medicals with Manchester United following Ajax and Manchester United £40m agreement.

Skysports reports that the deal is in the region of €39m, plus another €5m in add-ons, for the Dutch defender who is on assignment with the Netherlands ahead of their Nations League matches against Poland on September 4 and Italy on September 7.

The Chief Executive Officer of Ajax, Edwin van der Sar in May confirmed that both Manchester United and Real Madrid were monitoring the progress of the 23-year old with the Dutch club open for negotiation for the player’s exit.

"It's clear that clubs like Real Madrid and United are showing interest in Donny van de Beek," he said speaking to Dutch outlet NOS.
