Real Madrid have reached an agreement for Achraf Hakimi to move to Inter for 40 million euros plus a potential 5m euros more in add-ons.

The full-back has signed a five-year contract, one which runs until 2025.

Even though the player's agent Alejandro Camano had said that the 21-year-old wanted to return to Real Madrid following his two-year loan at Borussia Dortmund to explore his options, he has already decided to embark on a new adventure.

With minutes likely to be hard to come by given that Dani Carvajal is in the same position, the Morocco international is going to take his talents to Serie A.

"The club wishes to thank Achraf for his many years of dedication, professionalism and exemplary conduct since he joined our academy in 2006 and wishes him all the very best in this new chapter," a Real Madrid statement said.
