350 Contacts Traced to 6 Confirmed Covid-19 Cases in Ghana

A follow up for the identified contacts are still ongoing, the Ghana Health Service has explained.

350 Contacts Traced to 6 Confirmed Covid-19 Cases in Ghana

A total of 350 contacts have been traced to the six confirmed cases of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Ghana, as of Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

The Director of Public Health- Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Badu Sarkodie, in an earlier public address disclosed that, all contacts traced are being monitored and are yet to exhibit symptoms of coronavirus infection.

According to the GHS, all confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ghana are imported, as there are still no local transmissions of disease as of now.

Ministry of Health and other relevant ministries, departments and agencies are doing to ensure the safety of Ghanaians with the current Covid-19 Pandemic.

Currently, there are 95,836 existing covid-19 cases of Tuesday morning, March 17, 2020. 

182,424 confirmed cases and 79,433 recovered cases. 7, 155 persons have died so far from the coronavirus disease.
