The 2020/21 Premier League season has been announced to start on September 12, 2020.

Liverpool became the first club to clinch the Premier League trophy with 31 wins after a 5-3 victory over Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Premier League Shareholders made the publication on Friday, July 24, 2020.

“Premier League Shareholders today agreed to start the 2020/21 Premier League season on 12 September 2020,” the statement said.

“The final match round of the campaign will take place on 23 May 2021. 

“The Premier League will continue to consult The FA and EFL regarding the scheduling of all domestic competitions,” the statement ended.
